International law firm McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to share Health Partner Eric Zimmerman has been elected to the American Health Law Association’s (AHLA) 2023 Fellows Class. The AHLA Fellows are chosen and recognized for their career-long achievements, contributions and tenure with AHLA and their continuing service and leadership in the legal profession. AHLA Fellows are ambassadors for the Association and serve as role models and mentors to current AHLA members.
Eric joins the elite list of McDermott’s AHLA fellows including Mike Anthony, Bernadette Broccolo, Gary Davis and Michael Peregrine.
“Some of AHLA’s most talented and illustrious members comprise the Fellows Program and I am honored to join this group,” Eric noted. “This is an exciting time to be navigating the health law landscape, and I look forward to continuing my service to AHLA, its members and the broader health law community.”
Eric is a recognized Medicare law and policy authority and registered lobbyist who represents clients before Congress and administrative agencies, and helps clients navigate federal legislative and regulatory processes related to Medicare coverage, coding, reimbursement and compliance. He primarily counsels and represents hospitals and health systems, ambulatory surgery centers, clinical laboratories, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and device manufacturers and suppliers, medical trade associations and professional societies. Eric also serves as a principal of McDermott+Consulting LLC, McDermott’s integrated health-focused policy, lobbying and data analytics consultancy.
